A Catalyst for Action and Purpose-A Call to Live

If An Arsenal of Gratitude (another one of the author's books) helped me build energy and momentum, Pissed Off With a Purpose turned that energy into decisive action. This book doesn’t coddle you, it confronts you. It asks you to come face to face with yourself in a way that's not filled with shame, but rather with a fierce invitation to stop spectating your own life and asks you to start showing up fully. It pushed me to honestly evaluate where I’ve been playing small, where I’ve been complacent, and where I can contribute more to the world around me. The word “inspired” feels inadequate. Though, I certainly am inspired. This feels more like ignition. It 'lit me up'--putting me in a position where I feel like I can take on the things that have been waiting for me. I found myself taking action while still reading, and the momentum hasn’t faded. The results have been amazing! There’s a particular kind of excitement that comes from becoming an even more active participant in your own life. Its the type of excitement that feeds on itself/generates more..the type that doesn't lead to burnout (THAT right there I think is significant because this is not about hustling for one's worth, but it's about living a life worth loving). This book sparks that fire relentlessly.

This is one of those books that has the capacity to light a fuse under you and dare you to live a purposeful story worthy life. That's pretty cool.

Also, it's not redundant! There were meaningful/thoughtful and 'aha' type moments in every chapter and it's a book that I would go back to. That is its own win!

Thankful for this book in this season of life.
