Good

It’s really good I admit it’s not for everybody, but it was quite enjoyable I really enjoyed the narration. It was quite good.

Mean Girls Meets Girls Gone Wild

At its heart, this book is sbout the bonds of friendship and the way those friendships affect your life.

You see Jesse and her friends live out the wild party days of their 20s as they navigate dating, work, school, and life in general.

On one had, the way they care about and for each other is endearing. They truly form a strong sisterhood.

On the other, they are all vapid, shallow, salacious entitled girls who only care about getting drunk, high, or stoned. And there isn't much character development or growth to the story.

As someone who was a teen in the 90s I wanted to love this novel, but I just couldn't connect with any of the characters on more than a surface level. At the same time, I couldn't look away, either. I just had to know what crazy things were going to happen next because these girls had the wildest things happen to them. WILD! So, in that regard it was a fun read because it was juat sheer chaos so often.

The narrative was well organized and delivered, but, for me personally, I felt like it lacked some depth or growth for the characters. I wanted them to learn from their mistakes and stop making the same choices over and over.

The narrator does an amazing job of bringing each character to life and making them distinct and recognizable. And she handles narrating scenes with difficult content with sincerity and respect.

Definitely worth the listen

Each chapter made you want more. So many, I can't believe that just happened moments.
