An Alt-History of Military Aviation

Recovering from wounds received over Germany while testing their new Arrow stand-off robot bomb, Wing and Ricart decide to combine a familiarization mission to New Guinea with a chance to settle accounts with the infamous Japanese auxiliary force, the Black Dragon Society. The Society's stronghold on the island of Mindanao in the Philippine Islands becomes the scene of a pitched battle between the Black Dragons and Philippine freedom fighters when Alto Group calls in the Fifth Air Forces' ace-in-the-hole, the deadly 'Sidewinder' ground attack version of Alto's Giant transport. Spectacular as the Black Dragon battle is, the fight to escape back to Australia is even worse.
