Acerca de esta escucha
As one of six children of British medical missionaries, John Hoyte grew up in China till age 13. During World War ll, he and his siblings, separated from their parents, were interned by the Japanese for nearly four years. In his 20s, he led a British expedition over the Alps with an elephant to investigate which way Hannibal and his army of 30,000 men and 37 elephants had taken in 218 BC. Later, he founded a start-up corporation in Silicon Valley and was an inventor and entrepreneur. With each surprising twist and turn of his journey, John has built a fulfilling life, infused with purpose and creativity.

honest and encouraging life story
It is so encouraging to hear the honest story of a man who has grappled with the difficulties and successes of life, enjoyed it's beauty and found steadfast Hope through it all. The audio book is great because it's in his own voice. I'm so glad I was missing some old ceramic trays ;)

Extraordinary life experiences made more special by the author’s reading
A unique life story told in an humble and honest way. It is encouraging to my life. It reminds me that we can look thru a lens that considers our lives beautifully blessed, even with some very challenging experiences. I’m grateful that this story is told and shared as it is!
