The story of Igor, a survivor of the Communist psychiatric punishment system, begins in 1982, when Ukraine, the country of his birth, was still a Soviet socialist republic. He grew up in a well-to-do family with parents who had degrees in science and were fervent Communists, from whom he enjoyed every material advantage and was able to pursue a university education. His upbringing was rooted in communist values, which held the promise of political and financial position for those who adhered to them. Despite his carefree way of life, oriented towards the pursuit of success and pleasure, God suddenly revealed Himself to him. After this life-changing encounter, his life took a 180-degree turn.

The government of the time repressed freedom of expression and retaliated against ideas considered subversive and opposed to the regime. Individuals were under totalitarian ideological control. To bear witness to one's faith "outside the walls" of tolerated and controlled places of worship classified one as a dissident requiring special mental re-education treatment.
In this book, the author recounts his struggle against the relentless pursuit of the powers of evil within psychiatry, which was hijacked from its original vocation and used for coercive purposes by the Communist system.

Igor Sauchuk
Born in 1962, the author is married and now lives in Switzerland (Zürich). He is the creator and distributor of an evangelistic newspaper, "Word from the Bible", translated into four languages; he also offers theatrical activities for children and distributes videos on spiritual subjects on the Internet
