Jimmy Favreaux has suffered a life-threatening traumatic brain injury (TBI) and wakes up in an unfamiliar hospital but with a familiar-looking blond nurse dressed in the traditional all-white nurse’s uniform. This story has two Wendi’s, two Pepé’s, and two Hillary’s, but only one Jimmy, and he’s trapped in a dreamworld inside a medically induced coma, unable to remember his own name. Jimmy makes new friends in his dreams and sees his old friends in new ways.
Together with the blonde nurse, Jimmy gets tangled up in and then unravels some local mysteries. From occasional glimpses, flashes, and intuitive feelings, Jimmy knows things are out of sync around him, including having a sit-down visit with his mom, who has been dead for several years.
It wouldn’t be a Blue Bridge Mystery without Jimmy’s nemesis, The Man, causing trouble—for Jimmy in his dreams and for the team watching over him in the ICU.
