Acerca de esta escucha

Onneron is no longer at peace. Preparations for war have begun. There are rifts within the College and the Church. Both factions need to adapt to the ever-changing world and find their new place within it.

Treace is sent into enemy territory to find the key to unlocking more powerful magic that could help save thousands of lives.

But he isn't the only one looking for the key.

New friends and enemies alike will emerge that will test Treace's courage, skill, determination, and loyalty. As events unfold, Treace will be forced to make decisions that place his life, and the lives of the people he cares about, at stake.

The Saga of The Wolf continues with the second book in the epic series, Path of Tears.

This book has a great story and characters. It's the narrator I hate. I feel like I'm listening to a whimsical children's tale told in a singsong tone. It's hard to take the book seriously.

Ok little children..I will tell you a story

Character development is almost completely missing from the 20 or so male adult characters in and around the magic school. So you have no identifying marks or backstory concerns or any way of knowing who’s who since none have memorable names either. In print letters & initials help with this, but in audio it’s just a dozen muttered noises we don’t have any investment in. So when they speak “intrigue dialog” for entire chapters... without us knowing what they look like mind you... you’re just exhausted. I’m done. I didn’t want to fill in the necessary pages of this book. That’s what we pay writers for.

You need to describe your characters.

Any additional comments?

I loved the first book even with the impossible things the MC could do. It was a fun book and I have listened to it more than once. Book 2: Wow what a difference! I was so bored I made it over 6 hours hoping things would get better and we could get back to the MC story line and have more fun. Nope. The story drones on with so much time given to other characters that the MC is lost almost as if he is just an afterthought. I could not listen anymore and just quit to find another book that could keep my interest. With well over 400 titles in my library I have written very few reviews but I waited so long for the 2nd book and am so very disappointed in it I hope to let others that felt the same as I did know ahead of purchase. BE WARNED!

I loved the first book and the second I will admit this story seemed a bit slow and nothing exciting happens compares to the first book but it was a good story

I don't know but I didn't get the same vibe as the first book. I think the storyline got split into too many lines. don't get me wrong its still ok but it seemed slow. I get the feeling it was a little too ambitious, and the storyline got list a little. hopefully the 3rd book gets it together.

sophomore jinx?

Have you ever read a story that has a hero that is consistently stupid? Consistently beaten by minor, piddling characters with rudimentary tricks? Consistently so naive that the story is not even believable? The end of the first book and this book seem to be determined to wreck any interest in the main character Treace. The first 3/4 of the story seemed to be developing a brilliant and capable hero. It seems the writer could not develop a conflict that was compatible with the level of hero she was creating so she simply dumbed him down. The villains are consistently smarter, more pragmatic and worse of all, more deserving to win than the supposed good guys. The villains routinely out work the good guys who spend all their time in useless contemplation or drinking and playing then seem confused when they get their asses handed to them over and over. After a time, you lose all empathy for a group of idiots defeated soundly over and over again by a group that actually is better organized, harder working, and more committed. It would actually be insulting for these idiots to suddenly win after all this excessive idiocy and endless moral equivocation.

Disappointing

This story could be good, the author is literally the worst at describing how people would react in crisis... the characters surrounding the main character are just weak and pathetic as people, I don't want to listen to a story where they just suck... at least make it realistically weak, you can't respect people who are cowards. Also, they have a mysterious drive to finish their missions, where in reality, they can't even find the moral courage to either stand up for themselves or others.

Just a bunch of weak people.

Completely unrealized potential. Main character was a psychological and emotional dumpster fire.Don't buy this Book.

Nope. Nope. Nope.
