Starting with chapter one where we address the “Origin and theory” of Canids, Dogs from the antiquity of the breeds and their pedigree and we compare their characteristics, behavior, canine training and diseases from the veterinary perspective. In the second section entitled “Cats” we define their behavior, habits, breed classification and their difficult social situation in some countries as adapted felines. And we will see how international pedigree associations organize exhibitions.
“Fish” is the title of the third chapter, which describes the procedures, with detailed steps, for the proper installation of a fish tank, the types of aquatic habitats and classification of species and their compatibility. In addition, we find here a complete compendium of the diseases of aquatic friends. Next, we address the subject of aquarist associations from around the world that organize exhibitions open to the public who are widely fond of animals from the aquatic kingdom.
Agility games, distraction and fun exercises are another aspect of mental intelligence for animals that we will discuss here, grooming and hygiene criteria, breed and species classes and of course the specific feeding protocols for each pet.
In some of these chapters you will also find some graphics with examples of the topics covered, both medical to take extreme care of the animal in your trusted veterinary clinic as well as those that must be taken into account to have an excellent service.
Another topic that we have not left out of this book is “Turtles and Reptiles” covering eight of the most important aspects and care directly associated with reptiles and their proper installation in a terrarium within the home or public serpentarium that is provided for friends of nature.
Next, chapter five is about the smallest mammals, rabbits, where we will learn everything about these mammals.
Thus, this manual for pet breeders addresses how to "Rabbits, Guinea pigs and other rodents" such as ferrets and hamsters are differentiated, their historical origins and evolution until today when the care of these little ones introduces underlying rules or norms in the cages to keep them clean and free of threats.
Chapter 6 explains about Veterinary Medicine, its branches and other related sciences that have specialized in groups of diseases by animal species and anatomical system.
Our seventh chapter addresses “Livestock Animals” with a wide repertoire of living beings used for human consumption, such as cows and horses from special farms and estates, used in the manufacturing and production of derived products such as cheeses, milk and brushes.
Our “Other Zoological Issues” section addresses those issues relevant to and related to the general welfare of all species, comprehensively expanding on issues of legal interest, rights and protection to the global level.
And finally, the ninth chapter deals with “Birds and birds” we consider the domestic species most kept in cages or outdoors, and used in home breeding, in addition to their adaptation to the feathered friends and their care in zoos such as eagles and falconry.
