Susan Reed was feature editor of a major magazine in Chicago when the publisher shut down the magazine. With a year's severance she decided instead of seeing another corporate job to become a freelance investigative journalist doing serious pieces along with human interest pieces.Through a series of unexpected twists and turns Susan had ended up in Fox Run, Arkansas as a result of having met and fallen in love with Dan Meyer then the local sheriff but whose family owned a large international software company, FR Software, engaged in cybersecurity.
