Kyle Pressler had a rough go at life. A decade ago, his father passed, and then two years later, he lost his wife as well. After taking over the family business, he settled into a humdrum life—a far cry from his dream of being a husband and a veterinarian. However, when Brooke’s parents arrive in True Love unannounced, all plans go out the window. Brooke puts her head down, throws her walls up, and focuses on her main priority: animal rescue and showing her parents she can do this. Kyle wants nothing more than to help, but as he falls for her more and more, it feels like every move he makes is the wrong one.
