Andrew was such a good boy. But he had problems. As a child, he lost his boyhood friends and his beloved Oregon when his family moved to Pennsylvania, and later others would abandon him. But then in college he met Nick. Nick was the best friend Andrew ever had, the friend who understood everything, the friend who would never leave. Until Nick’s bad side came out. Nick drug Andrew into violence and debauchery, attacking derelicts in the street, bedding whores in cheap hotels, robbing and thieving and looting. Then Nick became overbearing and abusive to Andrew, putting him down, disrespecting him, insulting him. One day Andrew discovered that Nick had murdered his coworker in cold blood. Knife through the brain. Buried in a shallow grave in the woods. Then could Andrew help it if he shagged Nick’s girlfriend on the sly? No. Could Andrew help it if he dug up that old corpse Nick had buried? No. Could Andrew help it if he ratted Nick out to the police?
