For John Earl and his friends, Luke and Anna, the unthinkable has happened and they can either stay put and hope "they", that mysterious they people are always going on about, will show up to save them, or they can do what they normally do and turn this into an adventure. They decide that hanging around, waiting to either become part of a giant barbecue or zombie bait, just isn't on their bucket list and head out for one last adventure before the end of the world catches up with them. They want to face the biggest challenge of all time and head out on a journey to the one thing John Earl and Luke have to look forward to in life now, some fine Kentucky Bourbon.

As for Anna? Well, not so much, she's a vodka kind of girl but sometimes you have to sacrifice for those you love, right? Besides, somebody has to look out for the two lunatics she's traveling with.
