What a Career

This insight into Ronda’s MMA career and her WWE career was incredible. She truly is a pioneer in combat sports for women and deserved better when she entered the squared circle than she got. I hope one day soon she will see a WWE that respects the women enough to have them involved in story telling early and for women’s matches to not be short or shortened just so men’s matches have time to tell there stories. As a Fan who only came back in the last 4 years, it’s been the women’s division that has been the most exciting seeing Bianca and Becky’s story. Seeing Liv start her revenge tour, seeing Becky and Nia’s story(even though I don’t like Nia, some wrestlers you just don’t click with, I know I’m a mark/nerd but i don’t care) these stories were special. And maybe I was one of the only fans to enjoy Shanya vs. Ronda but that match was something magical and both women deserve their kudos. I really expected Shanya to move up the card and get a title run but it seems Vince or maybe someone else shattered that momentum. Fingers crossed Shanya gets a run and maybe just maybe we will see Ronda return for redemption against one of her closest friends!!!!

Finally, I have closure!!

Loved the book & appreciate that it was written/narrated like “my fight, your fight” was. It’s like I picked up where I left off. Glad you’re doing well Ronda!

Great story!!

I love that she never holds back, extremely vulnerable, and speaks from the heart. Enjoyed it probably more than the first one.

Makes me wish I followed her story more when it was happening!

I love how humanizing hearing her stories was. I need to rewatch her matches in MMA and WWE now!

Rousey did an amazing job writing and narrating this book. I was drawn in immediately by her vulnerability. Love her!

HEARD LITTLE OF VALUE

WHILE I REALLY ENJOYED RONDA'S FIRST BOOK, I found this one very painful to complete. There is certainly lots to admire about her physical strength and accomplishments. I was expecting a lot more with this book. From book summary I was expecting more about how she rebuilt her life into something better in the aftermath of her loss ... review stated this book is a courageous narrative of career changes, facing your fears, etcetera. Most of this book goes into painstaking details of way too many WWE scripted wrestling matches, step by step by step by step ... and way too much recounting word for word dialogues that seem very meaningless at times. I recommend her first book, but not this one. 8 hours of my time felt wasted and at times irritated.

Not what I hoped for

If you're a WWE fan, you might enjoy her storytelling about that chapter in her life. I am a huge MMA fan so I found the entire last half of the book so boring. I skipped some chapters even! I was a huge Ronda Rousey fan, not too much anymore & this book honestly solidifies why I'm not. All the best Ronda, you were amazing when you were in MMA, I'll never forget cheering you on!
