Ugh..didn’t notice it was book one. Now I have to wait for the rest of the story.

Amazing story bad narration

Amazon please heed this review. AI would be great for textbooks, manuals, and maybe historical literature but not novels. I have read the Origins series every year and couldn’t wait for an audiobook to come out. I would have paid $20 a book for well narrated version of this series. I was more than willing to give the AI a chance but found it very hard to follow the book with AI narration due to the lack of inflection, emotion, change in cadence not to mention the mispronunciation of words that are spelled the same but a person would have made the correct word choice based on context. If you are looking at this review as a customer please read the books first, they are so worth it. The writer really put in the effort to study the history from many perspectives and was clever in the way he incorporated his characters into that history. Many times while reading I would stop and do some research because I was unaware of some of the history he sheds light on. I learned more about historical events reading this series than I learned in high school and college.

Dear Audible, please hire real people.

I was excited at the premise of this title. I'm really interested in 'Ancient Origin' stories, and I thought I'd try this. The story line was intriguing, and right up my alley. However....that darned Virtual Voice, mispronounced many words, and was very monotone with almost no inflection or change of pitch for the different characters. Would be better to Kindle this.
