Two very different worlds are colliding, and Izzy and Zoe are at the center of it. The mystery of the other side is dark and deep and Zoe finds she’s intrigued...even if her methods are a bit extreme for the Grimlocks.
There’s a conspiracy afoot, and it’s anybody’s guess who at the reaper council has been compromised. Sheer grit and determination will bring a mage and a bruja together, but it’s loyalty that will ultimately guide them.
It seems someone is erecting gates in various locations around the city, but why? What do they hope to accomplish? Is a full-scale revenant attack imminent? Only time will tell, and when the battle comes, two powerful beings will have to come together to protect what they love most.

Not only was the story fantastic and gave us many places to go in the future but a crossover with Eric, Zoey and Sam!! The Grimlocks and the Lake-Winters ... OMG. I was laughing so hard in some parts. Amazing!!

Great book hard to put down
Amanda M Lee is a new all time favorite author. She has a way of drawing you into a book and getting your feeling involved. I can't wait to read the next one in this series. I love the Grimlock's and all of the other characters. I love how she gets other characters from other series into the mix. I have never laughed and cried reading a book as I have reading hers books. The only other Authors that have manged to do that are Nora Roberts, JD Robb, Catherine Coulter, and Richard H. Stephens. Would love to find more that can do that.

Did not disappoint
The story was awesome! I literally got butterflies in my tummy when this book was released in audio. Two of my favorite families in one truly great book!

This book was so good! There's a lot of really good advice in this book in a lot of really funny moments. Sami still drives me crazy, but I guess kids that age tend to do that. She's gonna be a dang powerhouse. She already is, but is still learning her powers. Zoe is a great blast from the past. Covenant college is one of my favorite series. Izzy learns a little more about herself and some unsettling news. Great book, lots of snark and fast paced.

Everything You Know Is Wrong
Down is up and up is down in Lee’s latest Death Gate Thriller. Izzy thought that her parents were killed years ago, during a gate accident, but were they? Or did something more terrible happen to them? Like the Go Go’s: my lips are sealed. Zoe Lake Winters, and family, make a guest appearance in what has to be the best book in the series so far! 10 jars of pickled beets, and I normally only go five! 👏👏👏👏👏
