The Adventure of the Speckled Band: Sherlock Holmes investigates when a young woman's twin sister is mysteriously murdered in her locked bedroom, leaving in her dying words the only clue with which to begin: "band" and "speckled".

The Adventure of the Engineer's Thumb: Hydraulic engineer Victor Hatherley arrives at 221-B in a state of hysteria, his thumb grossly amputated from his left hand. The Baker Street duo's foray into the case leads to characters and machinations even stranger and more threatening than the case's grotesque genesis.

The Adventure of the Noble Bachelor: The groom loses his bride ten minutes after the wedding, and Sherlock Holmes has to find her.

The Adventure of the Beryl Coronet: A banker accepts a priceless British artifact as collateral for a loan and it is promptly stolen from his home's safe. Circumstances point to the banker's son, who bitterly denies taking it. Holmes allows his investigation to follow the trail of evidence, come what may.

The Adventure of the Copper Beeches: When a young governess, unemployed and desperate for a position, accepts a job with a couple living in a remote country home, her positive first impressions of the man and his family begin to change. With a mixture of fear and uncertainty, she asks Sherlock Holmes to investigate the increasingly disturbing events that have begun to unfold around her.

The stories are very good, but...

...the use of pitch-manipulation to make voices sound feminine is a fail. Especially when it seems they've re-recorded small sections and applied the wrong pitch (or forgotten to alter the pitch all together). Also, the quality of the sound varies throughout the recording, being a tiny bit muffled, with certain sections being super crisp and clear.
