I know I have heard almost this same story before...

It's basically Comanche Moon by Catherine Anderson shortened drastically and prettied up to the point that is isn't very realistic. That said, I wonder just how heavily that book influenced this one. I can't bring myself to rate it higher due to that fact, and I am glad it was a completely free listen or I would be upset because of that fact.
