One Enchanted Couple

This author is the queen of the historical novella! This is extremely short, just one hour forty minutes long in audiobook format. However, the author did an excellent job constraining the story so that it was appropriately expressed in such an abbreviated form. The heroine's family has what we would call supernatural abilities, and in their historical times, this has caused tremendous problems for their family for generations. At a relatively young age, the heroine determines she will not marry for two reasons: she doesn't want to pass on what she perceives as her family’s curse to another generation, nor does she believe she could adequately trust a man with her family's secret to keep them all safe. Her family, at times, has been accused of witchcraft, and as you might imagine, not all family members have fared well. (BTW, the author includes an author’s note at the end about the real witchcraft atrocities in medieval Europe. Much appreciated! I love how she states she attempted to inject a hint of realism about what people actually faced and feared back in the day regarding witchcraft.) As this is a romance, this story is about what happens when her plan for the future is challenged when she meets a man she has a rapport with and genuinely likes. Because of their meet-cute’s circumstances, they get to know each other better over a short span of time, and their attraction and affection only grows. But she is determined to deny them both because of the perceived curse. I thought the author did a beautiful job of turning her long-standing fear of marriage and all that entails around on a dime in a supremely believable way; her gift shows her what trusting their feelings and his hopes for their future will ultimately mean for them. Awww! The narrator of this book has voiced many I've listened to by this author. I thought she did a particularly fantastic job narrating both the English and Scottish accents. If you're looking for a relatively quick, romantic Regency romp—and don’t mind (and hopefully appreciate!) a hint of magic—pick up this book. I sincerely hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Fear or Love?

Moire Noble’s family Scotland when the family’s special gifts caused several family members to be tried and burned as witches. Moire has the gift of second sight. She tries, like the rest of her family, to keep her ability a secret. She has vowed never to marry so not to bring children her gift. When she meets Thomas Astley at her sister’s wedding, she begins to think differently. Thomas persists and Moire resists. Can he help alleviate her fears and believe in love? This is a short emotional story. The characters are likable. The Noble family are understandably fearful and untrusting. Thomas and William are kind, protective, and understanding with Moire, Lili, and their family. There is a happy ending, but it does not come easy. Excellent narration by Anne Marie Dammon.

Enchanting

The narrator was engaging and had me enjoying this novella. Amanda wrote a great story with a HEA that kept me wanting for more. I love that the hero Thomas would do anything to get his love his other half. I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to listen or read.

Moire

I enjoyed this novella. Moire is a seer, in a gifted family, during the time of the Inquisition, when witch hunts were prevalent. Moire vowed to never marry. However, this is a romance story, she ultimately finds the one meant for her. The story was well written with interesting characters. The narration was well one. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving my review.

This is a enchanting sweet quick read! I really enjoyed this story and the characters. I just loved Moire and Thomas! Heartwarming and captivating story from the beginning until the end.

This is Moire and Thomas's story. Its a short story. Moire has a secret, but what will happen when she saves Thomas? Will he think she is a witch? Will he keep her secret? What are the feelings he is having for her?.

One Enchanting Kiss

Moire along with her sibling are being forced to pretend they are not special. In a time when anyone different would be burnt at the steak for witchcraft. Moire is determined to not have any children or get married so she does not pass what she calls a curse on to anyone else. That is until her sisters wedding and she saves a young man she quite likes. The story is fantastic and so is the narration.

Enjoyed the story of Moira and Thomas very much. And the author’s explanation at the end only added to the experience. Thank you.

delightful

A short story that can be read easily/listen to in one sitting. Though it was short, it was entertaining and the story didn't feel like it was rushed.There was a secret and fear that caused Moire to plan to become an old maid. Her beliefs got challenged when he met Mr. Astley.

A delightful love story. You can feel his true affection for her and the struggles. I have the audiobook which made the story more alive. I recommend this historical romance. This is clean and easy to read/listen to (even with the accent).

Sweet story

Sweet story and how one woman had to learn that her gifts were a blessing even though many in her family were called witches and killed. She vowed never to fall in love, marry and have children since she did not want her children to inherit her gifts. Yet one day, she did find herself falling in love and as much as is fought the feeling, she had to give in. Nice clean story and very enjoyable.
