Best One Yet!!!!

Holy Smokes this was amazing!!!! Bayou's character is a fantastic representation for Autism Spectrum. I LOVED his and Phoebe's story and how they came together after so many years after a young connection. Phoebe was realistic, cute, and patient. I really enjoyed her and her drive to work somewhere other than where her mom and sister did. Bayou was a big teddy bear when it came to Phoebe. Their story was refreshing. It came without a ton of angst aside from an issue with an ex of Bayou's. Izza was adorable and I loved seeing the characters from earlier in the series.

Honestly can't say enough about the Big feels with this one.

Great representation for Aspergers.

So we met the quiet and broody Bayou in the previous books as he’s the prison warden and now he gets his own romance. Phoebe is Prue from MY BAD’s sister and just graduating from nursing school and yet another one with unusual pets. This time she rescues birds and has a hawk who ends up being her hero when things get dicey.

There’s an age-gap element to this story with them meeting in the Prologue when Prue is only fifteen but then getting together ten years later. Neither had lost that instant attraction they felt years ago and their connection is strong.

This book gives us an insight into life with Aspergers Syndrome. I was really interested in it as my daughter is on the Autism Spectrum, and I thought Lani did a great job representing this invisible disability. We find out how Bayou, with the help of an understanding officer, made it through basic training and moved up through the army ranks. Phoebe is such an understanding and loving partner who embraces Bayou and all his quirks.

They have to get through some tough stuff with family drama high on the menu.

Kendall shows us the softer side of Phoebe and her ability to nurture. Aiden gives us a window into Bayou’s mind, his inner frustrations, but also his deep unrelenting love for Phoebe.

This was such a great story well-written by Lani.

Loved it !! this story. the narrator is so fantastic it's like your really there!! After listening to this story,. I totally enjoyed reading this book. It’s well written and the characters were uniquely fantastic. I would suggest this book to my friends that like this sort of genera. this was a good book. The narrator was great.

Aiden Snow in anything is magic! Add in Kendall and a wonderful storyline is icing on the cake. I especially was touched by the treatment of Autism as part of the storyline. Thank you for that Lani! Oh and let’s not forget the 🌶🌶🌶! Oh my the baton that was not a baton🤭

I love everything, the characters, the crazy antics, they're make me laugh a lot. I'm very happy with the narrators, and author Lani Lynn Vale chose well..

Fancy and Bayou

've read over 60 books written by Lani Lynn Vale, and I've enjoyed every one of them. But this story topped them all.
The way she addressed Bayou's Asperger's Syndrom, the hardships he had to endure, the lack of support from his father, and his ability to overcome so very much was heart-wrenching.
I flip-flopped between anger, joy, tears, and, of course, so much laughter!
And the narrators, Aiden Snow and Kendall Taylor, are, as always, awesome!!

this is my favorite one!

So glad it's on audio book now! now just have to wait for the rest of them!

One Chance Fancy

I absolutely loved Bijou! He was different but I found him so appealing. I loved Phoebe too and the impact she had on Bijous life at a young age just seemed to turn everything around for him and it made him have a better life. It was sad to hear the way he was treated. It broke my heart. Narration was wonderful! I love Aiden and that sexy as sin voice of his and Kendall always has that voice that you can link to your female characters. LLV rocks!!
