My name is Robert Kintigh and I am a parent to 3 adult children. When my middle child was a pre-teen she ran away 8 times. I wrote this book to help parents see the signs of a troubled teen, know what to do before they become a runaway, and know what to do once their teenager does run away.
Have you ever had these challenges before:
  • has your teenager been withdrawn?
  • had your teenager fallen behind in school?
  • caught your teenager doing drugs?
  • heard reports of bad behavior about your teen?
  • not have the relationship with your teenager you used to?
  • had your teen staying out later than they should.
  • found alcohol missing from the cabinet or had it replaced with water.
  • always on their smartphones communicating with others more than the family?
  • had them break into vacant homes?
  • ran away before or even multiple times?
The good thing is in a weird way I used to be in your shoes, and although my children are all grown up now, I am on to a new generation of children called my grandchildren. This time around I get to fix my short-cummings, but the great news is I can help you avoid the mistakes I made.

My daughter was very motivated and the levels she went to deceiving us especially before, during, and after she ran away was shocking. Our daughter would hide our car keys, and she would steal cash from me to always snooping around the house became alarming. We tried so many things with her and nothing ever seemed to help. We took away electronics to cut off communications with the children whom she was getting in trouble with and she kept finding ways to communicate. We took her out of school and briefly homeschooled her and that became worse. We spoke to her school counselors and kept her out of jail, and yet nothing would take. Something had to change, but we did not know how it was going to happen.

Then she started to run away and that is where the challenges occurred. We had thought everything leading up to this point was the tough part, but we had it all wrong. Now we had to go out into this big world and find out teenager, and that proved tough even though I was somehow good at it. I grew up running some tough streets, and my belief is that helped me, but nothing could prepare me for this.

As we went to work, we were good about how we performed looking for heer. We would learn each time she ran away, so next time if it happened again it would be easier than the time before. this proved true until we realized we were teaching her how to be a sneakier teenager.

In this book, the author provides you with real, no-fluff information to help you:
  • Spot the signs that your teenager is struggling.
  • who to contact if your teenager runs away?
  • What to expect if your teenager leaves home.
  • What to take with you in the car if you find yourself on the hunt for your teenager?
  • understand the statistics about runaway teenagers.
  • how to interact with law enforcement when you are looking for your teenager and more.
The old way of thinking that this would never happen to you and your life would only find you in a deep hole quickly. You have to get with the new idea this is a strong personality, and it is up to you to ensure things come out great. You can help your teenager in many ways through this tough time. Your biggest weapon will be to remain calm and be patient. Be prepared to become a bounty hunter type, private investigator, or marshal. You should embrace this role.

Many parents make too many mistakes that can hurt finding their teenager. Don't fight with each other. Don't just go out, look around, and don't feel hopeless. The first thing you need to do is sit down, read this book, and then go to work to make a preparedness kit. Please buy this #1 book on teen runaway search and find! I am certain it will make a big difference for you.
