actual plot

first, yes, there are spicy moments. second, they don't take multiple chapters for one scene. It's not stuffed with constant commentary of how wet, hard, etc they are in every chapter. Thank you! This book actually has a plot and storyline before and after they hook up. Thank you, again! I read and listen to a lot of books and so many authors fall into this trap.

dual narration, such a good book

I read this as, just because I was waiting for another book to come out the next day. I didnt have very high expectations, but damn. this was such a good book. Callum really had to work hard. im glad she didnt make it easy on him. I like that this book was 13 hours because it was really worked out. this book was worth the credit. I wish it was duet narration though. these narrators were so good but it would have been better if it was duet. it would have been perfect then but as a dual narration, it was so good. you need to listen to this book. it was very satisfying.

Boisterous Irish Family & Love Story

I loved the family banter between the O’Shea boys and their Mam is authentic and hysterically funny. They don’t pull their punches. Maeve is reserved and academic - a studious bookworm trying to avoid attention from her blithering idiot stepsisters. Callum is blindsided when he realizes he has genuine feelings for Maeve, when he has the romantic skills of a rock and can’t figure out what to do. Excellent story !

Heartfelt

This was such a great read. The storyline was so incredibly heartfelt. The narrators did an outstanding job.

3.5⭐ Callum & Maeve: triggers- cancer, loss, grief, blackmail, family discord, bullying, sexual assault, assault. I'm glad I stuck it out with this book because I nearly gave up twice on the account that 1. it's a bit of a bore in the beginning, 2. it's a slow burn and 3. I did not like Callum for most of the book. but I'm happy to say that after giving it some time and letting my irritation settle, the book for really good and very entertaining after a while. I have to say that I love how the author melted together her book worlds, i.e. "Speed Demons MC" and the "Kings of Anarchy MC" into this small town and it works very well. Callum finds out at his da's funeral that he's been left in debt and in order to pay it off, he must marry his uncle's "daughter" (not related by blood). Maeve is the daughter of Patrick's number 2 man, so when he's killed, Patrick takes her in. she's mistreated by her step mom and step sisters (very Cinderella-ish) but loved and adored by Patrick and her step brother. they want her to marry Callum so she can get away from the family and live a normal life with someone who will protect her. only the evil step monsters didn't stop terrorizing her. and Callum's secrets keep slapping her in the face. despite that, they are getting along and becoming a real couple and Maeve is being accepted by the town and good family. but nothing can stay good forever. ugh... so good and I even dropped a tear or two. this one was really entertaining.
