An old friend of Dave's finds himself in the middle of an international conspiracy to transport American weapons to terrorists in the Middle East. Instead of chasing serial killers and psychopaths, the BAU is hunting down a Russian sleeper agent, amongst other unsubs.
Eddolls continues to develop his characters from the acclaimed first novel in this series, The Beast Within Us, and they all find themselves in foreign territory. However, the intensity of this case places a significant strain on Stilley's marriage, so choices must be made.
