Not much story here only expectation and curiosity drove me to finish listening. Sorry to say it wasn't worth the effort. Maybe this was to be the introduction to an unfinished novel?

Interesting but I was expecting a different ending. I was hoping to learn what was the connection between the periodic table and what the Martians did that caused there extinction.
