‘This collection of 24 personal essays did what it needed to do! The voices included are as eclectic and diverse as the country itself, and you can go from laughing to wanting to weep in a matter of moments as you’re taken through the ups and downs of a nation – and national identity – that is still scarred by colonialism, civil war and corruption but strides towards the future with arrogance, endless optimism and sheer bloody-mindedness. Great Stories

Interesting yet thought provoking perspectives of Nigeria. I struggled a bit with the male narrator’s cadence.

Good stories

Good stories but could have been done in Nigerian English accent. It would have given more to the stories.
A longer pause between each story mentioning the title and author would make the individual stories stand out rather than one monotonous read.
The reading style at times staccato and then monotonous tempo without any a narrative acting does not add to the stories. Especially if same narrator reads one story after the other, the individuality of each story is lost. Didn’t go past third story as a result which is a pity.

Seeing my homeland through others eyes. It made me laugh and gives me great hope.
