Profound and insightful poetry-soul filling themes

I don't normally read or listen to these types of books or poetry but I found myself driving an extra 10 minutes just so I could listen until the end. I then began the companion book first thing the next morning. The author, Dan Johansen, chose to read it to us himself and holy crap-it makes all of the difference in the world! His tone, slight pauses, volume and cadence delicately dance a balance that brings you right there into the room with him. It makes for a wonderful experience and left me wanting for more—which I am looking forward to from this artist of human emotion.
