Nobody ever talks about what happens after you meet the man or woman of your dreams. All the fairy tales end after they fall madly in love and are still in the “I need to be with you all the time” phase when the cameras cut to the end credits, or the writer finishes the two words we all love to hate – the end.
But what happens when you find out your prince is really a slob and can’t find where the laundry hamper is? When you have to pick up his socks ever night because his housekeeper isn’t there to do it for him anymore?
Or when you thought she was the best cook in the world when really she’d gotten to be a pro at ordering the food in enough time to make the kitchen a mess like she’d cooked it when really it was Tony’s Italian down the road?
And what kind of trouble could there possibly be when you find out he hates cats and loves dogs when all you have are cats? What do you do when the dog he brings into the once peaceful house you shared begins to make your cats lives a living hell?
Or if you thought he worked hard when he was really on unemployment? When all the times he left you in the mornings to go to work, that was the last place he showed up to?
And what would you do if you thought your husband bought you your dream house only to find it was his parents who bought it for you? What if your mother-in-law held that over your head every time she saw you?
What could possibly go wrong when the honeymoon is over and real life sets in? Is it happily ever after or in hell ever after?
