A Steamy Myth-Filled Santa Story!

A myth-filled steamy story with a demon fighting Santa!

Scarlett is not a big holiday person and chose to leave the city for the most wonderful time of the year to celebrate by herself and a bunch of books. She hears a loud thump in the night and for some reason she goes out to investigate in the middle of a snow storm. She finds sleigh and an unconscious attractive man, so what does she do? Bring him inside of course.
Nick (yes, his name is Nick) has the job of Santa and has to deliver the presents to all the children of the world. He does his usual practice run and gets a wee bit stuck in Ireland with a massive headache.
The chemistry between Nick and Scarlett is perfect (especially for folks who like insta-lust vibes!) and they go through a lot for knowing each other such a short time.

There's a lot of world building that happens in this story and it's done well by having multiple POVs. I enjoyed the different take on some traditional myths, like a demon hunting Santa, and Cupid. This is also a standalone story and I am looking forward to the next ones! There's steamy times, a bit a violence (descriptive, but not overly gory), and some non-Santa-y situations!

The new-to-me narrator does a good job with all the voices. He has an excellent growly voice for the male dialog. I did have some trouble following along with the changes in perspective, but overall it was good. I listened at 1.2x speed.

Christmas

North Bound by K. A. Finn is an excellent unique Christmas story with Santa and a none believer. Julian Franklin did an amazing job with the narration. The story is entertaining, interesting, romantic, funny, exciting, and more. North Bound is the first book in Twisted Legends. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Author K.A. Finn delivers a vibrant story filled with rich, intriguing characters and a plot premise that immediately grabs attention. Her clear, concise writing keeps the narrative engaging from start to finish, with unexpected twists executed flawlessly. The dialogue feels authentic, and her deliberate, steady approach to character development deepens the story in a way that feels natural and rewarding for the listener.

Narrator Julian Franklin delivers a polished and engaging performance, speaking with clarity. Each character is given a distinct voice, and the transitions between them are so smooth they feel effortless. Pauses are placed with intention, heightening tension or emotion exactly when needed. Her tonal choices and inflections consistently match the moment, capturing the mood of every scene with precision. Emotions are applied appropriately and never overdone, allowing the listener to sink fully into the story.

This suspenseful romance is both beautifully written and expertly performed, showcasing a seamless collaboration between author and narrator.

There were no issues with the quality or production of this audiobook.

Spicy Santa

I wasn’t sure how I felt going into this one. I’m really glad the author chose to veer away from typical Santa and give him more of a story. Overall good story and A+ spice. Narrators voice is 🥵
