A corrupt and unethical tax lawyer who is in the process of being subject to disciplinary action for improper conduct, is involved in an IRS agent's death and stages the agent's death to look like an accident. The police detectives investigating the agent's death are suspicious and believe that there may be incriminating information in the deceased agent's audit files which are the property of the IRS. While IRS officials know that there is circumstantial evidence in the audit files that could incriminate the attorney, they are prohibited by law from disclosing such information. Although the police lack the evidence needed to solve the mystery surrounding the agent's death, the IRS is fully prepared to extract revenge aganst the lawyer, who will soon find himself involved in a variety of criminal conspiracies for which escape seems nearly impossible and facing a legendary IRS agent who is absolutely relentless.
