Takes all the twist and turns that miss Carla is so well known for. I have truly enjoyed her writing.!!!!!

Great Story

For some reason I was caught off guard with this read because I very thoroughly enjoyed it. The story was well-developed, well-written and well-performed. It had great romance and mystery….and I really didn’t want it to end, I wanted more of the happily ever after. I highly recommend.

Easy Read

Simple, light, romantic mystery. It was a good beach read. This was my first Carla Neggers book and I will buy another.

Well done

This is the first book I’ve listened to by this author and narrator. I enjoyed the story and the narrator did a good job with it.

Exactly what I wanted to hear.

Just what I was looking for in a "beach" listen - a bit of tension, a bit of romance, a bit of mystery (and a bit predictable). Amanda Dolan did a fine performance with the various voices, especially the Cape Cod voices and thank you for the men sounding like men and not 15-year-old teenagers as do some female narrators.

This is an excellent book. Characters are very well defined good humor and very well constructed storyline .Plot. twists are great Narration speaking, good handling of male and female voices. An author I shall enjoy following

I So Enjoy Reading Carla Neggars Works!

I first discovered Ms Neggars' books years ago in a charming local restaurant at Smith Mountain Lake Virginia, where a lending library had come into being. She introduced me to the mystical bayous and southern mysteries, compelling me to dig even deeper in the locale, history, and secret hidden gems the south has to offer. How excited I was to find her quiet, gentle words again, in a new'-to-me part of the country!
Carla Neggars expertly weaves intrigue and suspense in this wonderful book, and easily intriduces each character's personality in depth. I highly recommend all of her books, which will keep you hooked from beginning g to end! More, please, Ms. Neggars!

Enjoyable Storylines.

Truly enjoyed the story and its characters. The quorkie old aunt who is a witch The famley that truly cares and all in you biasness to prove it. The two that fell in love. Really enjoyed.
Wondering how your life's experiences go with having the last name that you do... I'm in my feelings about it.

Intriguing

The blending of cultures, family loyalty and magic was interesting. Adding in the mystery sweetened the interest. A nice naration.

I enjoyed this small town romance. I enjoyed the quirky characters, the bursts of humor, the mystery from history and the destined couple. My only complaint is that this good book could have been a great book, if the author would have developed the plot further. With that being said, had this book not have been included with my Membership or had been on sale, I would have missed out on it due to my personal length requirement in order to spend on of my credits.😉
