Too much

There was too much going on, all the betrayal was confusing and not easy to follow while listening

nice follow story in book 2

like the character. wish there was more books available. kept my interest with lots of twists and turns. I like descriptions of cairo

Great thriller

Had to really concentrate on this one. Each and every chapter was gripping and really enjoyed it

Toughen Up

I love WWII thrillers like this and while this book has much promise, there is one thing that bothered me. The main character is a sniper. That requires some self assured skill and bravery. Rees has none of that. Constantly afraid and questioning her every decision. Great potential and a good listen….but…it could be a great listen if the main character toughened up a bit…hopefully the author takes that to heart in the next installment….oh, narration was very good…that always helps!

Oh woe is me should be the title

I love Ms Black’s Paris detective novels. Not so with this one. Kate’s repetitive mental whining—am I being set up, there’s no plan, I owe her, and on and on, repeating over and over again—ruins what could have been a good story. The reader doesn’t save the book; she makes it worse.
Go re-read her earlier novels, you’ll enjoy your time much more.
