This may well be a good book, but the narration is so bad it's impossible to tell.

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is a new to me author and narrator. Within the first few words I could tell I wasn't going to like the narrator. He has these weird pauses and inflections, not to mention the voices for different characters. I know not every narrator has tons of voices they do well for men and women, but honestly, I was distracted by some of the voices that I missed what was being said. I think Mr. Jeffries would be a wonderful announcer, but isn't very good with narration. I think reading the actual book would be a better route to go.

If you're looking for something light, with humor strewn throughout, you'll enjoy New Year, Second Chance. I'll read anything about a second chance romance, it's easily one of my top three tropes, and this one's well done.

Nice performance by Allen Jeffries.
