From a course they created for professionals, Mark Waldman and Chris Manning adapted their lectures and present simple brain exercises, based on the latest neuroscience research, to guide listeners on what makes us happy, wealthy, and wise.

The promise of their original class - and now of this book - is to help people create more "wealth" in their lives, defined as the combination of money, happiness, and success. The book presents both the scientific background and sets of NeuroWisdom exercises that will help everyone transform their environment into a more meaningful and enjoyable place. By spending just a few minutes each day, these exercises reduce neurological stress and increase happiness, motivation, and productivity. The "worry" centers of the brain are turned off and the optimism circuits are turned on. Work becomes more pleasurable and creativity is increased, enabling the brain to anticipate and solve problems more efficiently.

I listen to podcasts and books regarding the brain and neurological training. As I listened to this title, I noticed that other sources that I listened to may have borrowed from this title (based on release time).Regardless of whether that's accurate or not, this is an excellent book. Good mix of information, practical application and research. The greatest benefit comes when do the exercises.

Trailblazing Mental Information

I listened to this book in one day. I had to hear the whole thing once I started it. I need to hear it again and try and incorporate the exercises it gives because they are necessary in order to be able to improve oneself if one desires to do so. After listening to the book and gaining understanding about the brain and how it functions I realize how the simple steps could make huge changes in my life, my success , and my happiness. One can definitely would benefit from most of the simple techniques described. I am very motivated and extremely grateful to have read or rather listened to this book. I can't wait to use these techniques. I wish I had been able to read this long ago. I would have been way better off if I learned this stuff a lot earlier in life. This book will teach you a lot about yourself and understanding how others think. A really helpful book for anyone. The world would be a better place if everyone read this and followed the lessons.Totally enjoyed it.

Really detailed,interesting,and helpful . A great listen.

The book was 4.5 stars from chapter 89 onward. Simplistic views of economics and psychology are used to relay magical thinking ideologies in relation to controlling others through managing your own behavior. There are many human predators in the world. They hide behind the cloak of abuse as competitive. Human predators are viewed like animals when in reality they have animalistic chemical misfires (immaturity x1000) and poor impulse control. Their actions are scary to most humans so we view them as strong. You can do a lot in your life by reframing and remaining calm. If a predator has an agenda, engaging with them through perceived mental prowess only increases their desire to target you. The advice on how to handle others isn’t great. The mental exercise and awareness techniques are 5 stars.
