Highly recommend this to anyone in healthcare.
I used to get totally lost trying to remember all the meds and their side effects. It was super confusing. But after listening to this, it all made sense. The rhymes really helped me remember things, and now I’m not so stressed about it.

A Game-Changer
I just finished this book, and I have to tell you, it's a game-changer! I've always struggled with pharmacology – it felt like trying to memorize the entire periodic table while juggling chainsaws. But Callie's approach is so different. She uses rhymes and poems to explain everything, and it actually works. I was surprised at how quickly I started remembering things like the side effects of different drugs and the nursing considerations. Like, I can still remember the little rhyme about phenytoin, and that stuff used to totally baffle me. It's not just rote memorization either; the poems actually help you understand how the meds work, which is huge.
What I really appreciated was how comprehensive it is. It covers a ton of neuro meds, and each poem breaks down the drug class, mechanism of action, indications, everything! Plus, she includes important stuff like black box warnings and special considerations for different populations, which is crucial. Honestly, if you're in nursing school or any healthcare field dealing with neurology patients, you need this book. It's made learning this stuff so much less painful, and dare I say, even a little fun! I'm recommending it to all my classmates.
