With roots in Greco-Roman antiquity, natural law - the idea that human nature is guided by certain universal principles - has been a cornerstone of Western moral and political thought for centuries. Nederman (PhD, York University in Toronto) traces the development of natural law theory from Aristotle (384-322 BCE) into the post-World War II era. Good for a basic overview of the subject
I thought that this lecture series was very informative even given how brief it was. It the leturer was very clear and presented the ideas in such a way that the listener could make easy connections between the ideas and time periods discussed. Given that it was a lecture it feels like a podcast rather than an audiobook; that is why I gave a 4/5 on performance.
