Resumen del Editor

Nadia Knox knows all about secrets, but nothing has prepared her for what the Eye of Zinnia will reveal!

For as long as she can remember, Nadia and her younger brother, Chris, have been tagging along with their parents as they travel the world searching for the untold stories of ancient societies. This summer is different, though. This summer, her parents and their research partners, Mr. and Mrs. Haynes, are angling to win the world-famous F.I.S.H. Prize for Finding Inaccuracies in Science and History. With competition fierce and only a few months left until the finalists are chosen, it'll take the whole team to uncover something truly remarkable: the Kamju, a civilization hidden deep in the wilds of Uganda. Some people believe the Kamju, known for their powerful magic, are not real. Nadia's parents think they can find them.

Nadia knows how important this discovery could be to her parents, but she can't shake the feeling that something is wrong. After all, wouldn't there be more than legends and whispers if the Kamju actually wanted to be found? And why are her parents being so secretive about their plans? If they find the Kamju, what happens next?

Things go from weird to worse when they meet their mysterious new tour guide, Bantu. Nadia just knows that he's hiding secrets of his own, and she's determined to find out what they are.

Enchanting Story with Good Life Lessons

My kids and I read Nadia Knox and the Eye of Zinnia as part of our homeschool curriculum. There is a perfect mix of culture, magic, suspense, and life lessons to make the story interesting. Both of my children, ages 8 and 4, loved the story. My oldest was actually a bit disappointed to hear there is no sequel.

Excellent Listen!

We were assigned this book in our homeschool curriculum (Torchlight) and really enjoyed this story! Will probably listen through a second time on our next car ride.

6 year old son enjoyed audiobook

Me and my 6 year old son listened to the audiobook as part of his Torchlight curriculum. We both enjoyed the entire story, and found it interesting and engaging. We liked the characters and magical parts of the story. We both laughed at the little birds that chased the group with spears. One thing I would change is how everyone accepts magical beings and artifacts without question, but this story takes place in the real world. It’s a little confusing. Definitely a great story.

disappointing

This book is part of our homeschool curriculum and we should have read it ourselves. The audiobook is read in a monotone, unless she's attempting one of 20 different accents for Bantu, none of them British.

As for the book, who takes children on a trip like this? twice the children are almost eaten and the parents are useless and selfish.
