Resumen del Editor

For more than a century, scientists across disciplines have investigated the workings of nature’s most complex organ. Findings from cutting-edge neuroscience are moving us closer to understanding processes like how we make decisions or navigate our environment. In this audiobook, we examine the latest research on cognition, how the brain gives rise to consciousness, and how we can improve mental health.

A fascinating box of neuroscience chocolates

Listening to this book is like opening a box of chocolate collections - there are so many different flavors, all rich in knowledge and easy to digest - what a joy!

This book presents 16 articles written by leading neuroscientists with different focuses and styles. I even learn something new about H.M.. If you don't know what or who H.M. is, you are in for a treat.

A must for anyone interested in the human mind, brain, consciousness, and neuroscience. Perfect for commuting, vacation, or sitting down with your beverage of choice.

If you want more after this book, check out "Secrets of the Brain" by Scientific American (free with membership), which focuses on the biological side and the interaction of brain the the rest of the human body physically.

My personal favorites on neuroscience include A Thousand Brains by Jeff Hawkins (2021), The Brain That Changes Itself by Norman Doidge (2020), and Phantoms in the Brain (2013) by Sandra Blakeslee and V. S. Ramachandran.

Learned so much,

I learned so much about how important our mental health (brain health) and how important sleep is to our heath, my father just passed away from complications of alsheimers and he only slept 10 minutes here 10 there and I knew this affected him considerably in his mental thinking. Thank you.
