The truth is sad

The reading was fantastic it seemed like Marilyn was telling you herself. Some parts were slow and repetitive, but necessary. The stories were sad and made me feel her pain for being a strong, independent, beautiful woman just trying to make it on her own terms.

An Icons Personal view

Enlightening, raw, and interesting journey that I would have never guessed. I only wish the ending was more complete, but as with her life it is appropriate. Highly artistic.

Nice To Hear Norma Jean

Downloaded this book as research for a piece am writing. Initially, I had reservations re: January Lavoy’s narration, but it became clear that she was voicing Norma Jean rather than Marilyn, which was refreshing. Thank you Audible, who ever directed this production and January for letting us meet the human being beneath the character/personae.

Nice to hear her side

This was a sweet & very young Marilyn. There has been so much trash out there about this tragic woman, including the latest 'Blonde' artistic fantasy. The book ends as she was blowing up in the public eye & she never came back to finishing it. I wish she had.....
