Beautifully written and read. Amusing. Insightful. Affectionate. Moving. Amusing. Touching. A generous life of gifts and creative endeavours working with family, friends, and those whose names we know from history and today’s world of the performing arts and film and the world leaders who also supported the arts. Loved every thoughtful word.

A star filled excellent book

From the moment Michael Stevens starts his family history, including the early days of film, I was hooked. Would recommend the book for anyone caring about excellence in film and the back story of the Kennedy center honors and nationally televised White House Christmas celebration

More Movies, Less Politics

Very little about George Stevens...book gets lost in idolizing the Democrat Party, especially thinking RFK was a saint...couldn't be further from the truth. The reading was flat. The movie he made about his father, sans, politics was far superior to this book.
