Very interesting concept

This book was awesome! Josslyn and Alicia are twins that were adopted at birth by two different families. Josslyn has always had Alicia's voice in her head. Her parents never told her she was adopted until she found out when helping clean out the attic. She then goes on a mission to locate Alicia and what follows is insane! I would recommend reading the prequel Bad Seed to get a better understanding of Josslyn and Alicia. I loved this.

New Meaning to a Migraine!

Having an 'Imaginary Friend' is something I have heard of many times over the years... having one inside your head talking to you... Well... that is a completely different 'Thing'! Could you imagine being somewhere, then you wake up in a completely different place, with blood all over you, and it has been a few DAYS??
That is just one of the magical things that happens to Joselyn and Alicia, well, sort of.
I loved this strange, yet lovely story of two people in the same body, who have a twin, too!
I am so ready for book 2 in this series!

I loved this intense psychological thriller story!! It was so engaging, exciting and entertaining!!
Josslyn has grown up with a special friend Alicia. Alicia has always been there for her, until things begin to change with their relationship.
Josslyn finds out some crazy and shocking secrets and information about her life, which changes her, and an internal battle begins.
The multiple POV between Josslyn and Alicia are excellent. I loved how all the pieces in the puzzle of the story fit together!

Jessica Huntley has quickly risen to a must read author for me! I’m absolutely loving her books!!
I listened to the audio of this book and the narrator did a fantastic job! It was a fast listen as I didn’t want to stop!

Dark, intense thriller

“My Dark Self” by Jessica Huntley is a gripping start to the My … Self series—a dark, intense thriller that had me hooked from the first chapter. Josslyn’s shocking discovery that she and Alicia are the same person takes the story into a chilling psychological battle. Alicia is a ruthless, psychotic killer, and Josslyn will do anything to make her disappear. The fast-paced plot kept me on the edge of my seat, and I couldn’t stop listening. Narrator Charlie Albers brought the characters and tension to life brilliantly, and their accent added an extra layer of enjoyment. I’m already eager to dive into book two!

Enjoyable Psychological Thriller

Audiobook review: I listened to the audible version and thought the narrator was very good. Easy to understand and a good voice.

I found this book to be an exciting psychological thriller. Josslyn and Alicia are both well written characters and their stories engaging. Although I did guess several parts of the story I did find the book very entertaining. I would more in this series.
