⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ This was a great introduction to a new series. There were plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader involved. What an entertaining, intriguing storyline. The camaraderie between the characters showed how committed they were to the job. Looking forward to the next story! I would give this more than five stars if I could! (Amazon review)

The AI reading is OK at best. At times, it was OK but other times it was choppy and lacking

Virtual voice is a huge negative

I’ve listened to several books by this author. All have been virtual voice. It says a lot about the story that I kept listening. There were multiple mispronunciations of words and I often could not tell which character was speaking. I had to rewind repeatedly. Also although this is clearly a series since one character gets married and has a baby the book order is not identified in the title information.

That said I like the main characters in the series and the fact that it is a true police procedural told only from the police point of view. This book had an unexpected ending that I didn’t see coming.
