Great book

Great book gives lots of history on Hemingway and lifestyle
Highly recommended book and is told in such a way to respect the wives

Amazing

The content of the book itself is brilliant, as is the narration. The prose has a similar feel to Hemingway's, and the narrator captures the feeling the book intends perfectly.

Very interesting to hear his bio from his wives & ex-wives point of view. Great narration too.

I found myself Googling so often to see more about the Hemingway family. Very interesting; such a different time! Liked it very much!

The Wives

I’ve read The Paris Wife and Love in Ruin. They left me wanting to know more about the women Hemingway loved. This novel did not disappoint. An accurate depiction of the wives and mistresses of Hemingway. The crossovers between the books made me chuckle as you would only pick up on them if you read all these novels. Great read

Fascinating stories of Hemingway's 4 wives, as well as world events! I enjoyed immensely and highly recommend!

Terrible narration.

What didn’t you like about Kate Reading’s performance?

She has a strange way of pronouncing words by dragging the out. She is very irritating to listen to.

This could have been a good book but I couldn't get past the narration.

Authentic

I have loved everything Hemingway has ever written and feel deeply connected to the world he created in his stories… I’ve been to his homes and truly enjoyed these small glimpses into his life.. over the years I’ve settled into the idea that nothing new was left about this famous author and the few attempts that I did find and read fell incredibly short of the mark… that is until now! I can say without reservation that I enjoyed this book as much as I have from reading Hemingway himself! Well done! Thank you for the hard work and research you must have done to pull this all together in a timeline that makes sense.. I will definitely buy the hardback and read this all over again..
