Mrs. Entwhistle and the Amish Inn

Mrs. Entwhistle meets a discontented Amish girl, Anna May, who is looking to make some changes in her life. When she comes for a visit, Mrs. Entwhistle has a front-row seat to witness what happens when worlds collide. Anna May wrestles with the choices that will shape the rest of her life, and Mrs. Entwhistle treads a fine line between minding her own business and her natural inclination to solve other people’s problems. Maxine, Mrs. Entwhistle’s best friend, decides to turn her home into a bed and breakfast, the Amish Inn, and hires Anna May as hostess. A diverse group of people gather there on Christmas Eve, only to be trapped by an ice storm. Personalities are peeled back and characters are revealed in the sudden emergency.

Cute story, I didn't enjoy the AI performance. A human would have been much more entertaining.

Enjoyed learning more about Amish culture.

I enjoyed both the story as well as the narration. Am looking forward to more Audible offerings. In fact, it would make a great Christmas gift!

AI narration takes away from the story telling.

AI narration makes the story flat, exclamations and others punctuation marks do not help. The story is cute, but a cliche all around.

Virtual Reader Stinks

The book seems like it was written by AI with very simple sentences that sound especially stilted when read by the virtual reader. Many words are mispronounced, including simple words like (Book of) Job and “does.” The virtual reader also paused or didn’t pause in the right places and the inflection was often wrong.
