With expectations of finding a mate, and Erris having little interest in romance, it's nothing but a tedious chore. Enter Sol, a friend from high school with social anxiety who also wishes for the party to be over. Between the two of them, they might just have a chance at getting their hassling parents off their wings, and as an added bonus, the local toxic pest, Ren. All they have to do is pretend to be together. Easy enough, right? Except in spending time together, Erris and Sol realize something real might be there after all.

Enjoyable and sweet
This is a fun and sweet (sometimes steamy) romance with fake dating (one of my all time favorite tropes), on point nonbinary rep, and overall queer delightful-ness. The audiobook narrator has a very pleasant voice and added to my enjoyment of the story. Recommend this story to anyone who wants some own voices queer rep with their romance reads.

A really cute story involving romance, cryptids, and nonbinary goodness, absolutely brought to life by the narrator, who does an excellent job of bringing us through the story. I really enjoyed this and I'm sure you will, too.
