Acerca de esta escucha

I’m Tucker Stevenson and I’m one of Stormy Morning’s closest friends. We grew up together, along with our other friends, Ross and Callum. We’ve had other friends over the years, but the four of us stayed close. We’re like brothers and always have each other’s backs.
I work with my father, he’s training me to take over for him when he retires sometime in the next few years. It’s construction, and I worked my way up from the bottom. Now he’s starting to give me more and more managerial responsibilities. I got promoted to foreman last year.
The next step will be an office job and I’m really looking forward to it. I’m starting to get sick of the sawdust smell, the sound of power tools, and the pounding of hammers. That was never my dream job, but it’s all stepping stones to where I really want to be.
I’m a geek at heart, I love numbers and computers. I love using my brain more than my brawn. Foreman is a good change of pace, but owner would be a much better fit for me. I’m getting there, eventually Dad will give in and let me move to the office instead of the building sites. He says that I need to work in every position so I know what it’s like, and I get that.
I’m just glad to finally be at the top. He even decided to let me hire the new receptionist, which isn’t the foreman’s responsibility, it’s the owner’s. That’s a huge thing, it has to mean that he’s getting ready to move me to the office soon.
It also means that I’m interviewing a new woman that’s moving to town. Ross and I are both anxious to see if she’s our instant connection. Watching Stormy find his gave us hope for ours to show up soon. With Callum getting matched by a matchmaker that just leaves the two of us still searching for her.
Mom is after me for not dating anyone. She’s trying to set me up on blind dates and gets really angry when I dodge them all. When I say blind dates, I don’t mean the usual kind where you don’t know the person. It’s a small town, everyone knows everyone.
No, Mom’s idea of a blind date is telling me to meet her somewhere. When I get there she has a woman from church with her and she conveniently needs to hurry off, leaving us together. I offer to drive the poor girl home since Mom left her stranded with me, then go on my way.
I’ve told her repeatedly that I’m waiting for the right one, but she’s just not understanding. Hopefully my girl will show up soon and she’ll stop pestering me. Stormy got his, so the rest of us should find ours soon. At least I really hope so…
