Morgan made a vow to herself a long time ago: never fall in love, ever. Her best friend, April, thinks it’s ludicrous, the girl who thinks love is the most beautiful thing in the world. While on vacation in Jamaica to get over her writer’s block, she has a one night stand with a woman she thinks she’ll never see again. But when she learns that that one night stand is none other than Leigh, April’s fiancé’s sister, Morgan does everything she can to not be anywhere near this woman, but it’s unavoidable since she’s the maid of honor and Leigh is the best woman to the groom. They end up having to work closely together which creates some friction, but when they end up having to share a room in the Virgin Islands for the wedding, will that spark from Jamaica be reignited and Morgan gives love a chance, or will she stick to her vow?

Cute but predictable

The story was very cute, although I knew how the story was going to end it made me laugh and smile several times. I wished we could of explored Morgan’s childhood more, while she was the main character I felt like I didn’t really know her or maybe I wasn’t invested in her story like I wanted to be. Overall I am hoping for a few more spin offs I’d definitely listen to them.

Narration was obviously virtual

The narration sounds very virtual. The mispronunciation of several words and the incorrect inflections made it difficult to forget they were virtual and kept pulling me out of the story.

Ruined by AI

While I understand not spending a ton of money on a novella, all of the juicy parts of the story fell flat with the Virtual Voice narration. The story was good, in concept, but was rushed. Some of the concepts were extremely unrealistic. There was too much “sex as a resolution” rather than having the difficult conversations.

Dropped because AI Voice RUINED this story

The story does feel a little rushed, but it’s honestly just unbearable with the AI voice.
