Resumen del Editor

A bright light was extinguished in the universe on January 13, 2004, when 21-year old Rebekah Swanson, a college senior, died in a car accident.

In More Than Can Be Measured, author Rona Swanson, Rebekah’s mother, shares her thoughts, feelings, and emotions as she and the family deal with their grief in the aftermath of Rebekah’s sudden death.

Weaving in entries from Rebekah’s journal and photos, this memoir shares the wisdom and understanding Swanson gained as she felt the stark pain of the loss of her daughter. More Than Can Be Measured narrates the story of how she sustained herself and her family through God - the anchor and strength of her faith.

An intense look into shattering loss, More Than Can Be Measured shows the sweet and gentle way God tended to Swanson’s wounds and healed her damaged heart. It communicates there is hope and help from God.

Moving and captivating memoir.

More Than Can Be Measured is about how a mother went through a devastating loss and shows how God sustained her and healed her wounded heart. It starts with the police knocking at the door informing the author, Rona Swanson of the tragic automobile accident and death of her daughter, 21-year-old, college senior, Rebekah Swanson. Ms. Swanson shares vividly what happened in the aftermath of the accident. After every chapter, a passage from Rebekah's journals is included.
We get very acquainted with the mother and daughter as the story progresses. I was privileged to be given an advance copy of this book to critique. I found there were many lessons to be discovered in this story and it was hard to put down. I am confident that everyone who has suffered loss and experienced grief should read this captivating and inspiring book. I looked forward to purchasing the audiobook version of this book and was not disappointed. Ms. Swanson reads the chapters she wrote with such passion and emotion that the listener feels like he or she is right in the room with her. Ms. Sweeney artfully brings Rebekah's words to life. I highly recommend this audiobook.

A review by the authors brother.

I witnessed my sisters courageous walk through grief that she so details in this book. As David Kessler says in his book Finding Meaning - The Six Stage of Grief, she has found meaning in her daily writing of reflections and in her writing of this book.

More Than Can Be Appreciated

Rona Swanson is a God adoring woman who has endured one of my greatest fears. In her heart breaking recount of the loss of her beloved daughter with the help of her good friend Celilia Sweeney, you will feel and experience God’s mercy and Grace through her eyes and tears. A must read for every parent and anyone wanting to grow closer to God and feel His presence in a deeper walk.
Thank you Rona, Sam, Sara, Caleb, and Missy for your strength and vulnerability to open your hearts for the world to see your personal journey of great sorrow and loss, and your daily decision to trust and walk with God.
