Detective?

Cheri Myst wrote an excellent paranormal mystery. Ash Aarrestad did an excellent job on the narration. Moonshine is interesting, entertaining, funny and more. If you like paranormal detective stories then this is for you.

Funny, Cozy (ish) Mystery

Detective Nightshade is back for another mystery and this time the fate of the paranormal world is tied to her case.

There's been a string of suspicious cases with evidence looking like the perpetrator(s) are from the paranormal community. So Samantha definitely has her work cut out for her. This book has the signature quick wit and quirky (or inappropriate, depending on if you're an ancient vampire or not) comments Detective Nightshade is known for. It's a fun mystery with some interesting undercover operations and some secrets to keep from partners.

The narrator is the same as the previous story, and she still does a wonderful job voicing all the characters! I listened at 1.2x speed.
This is the second book and can be enjoyed on its own without the first, but you should definitely check out book one!

Paranormal Mystery Solving

Having listened to the audiobook for book 1, the much-needed background information I missed in the eBook was given. It definitely, gave me a greater perspective for this second audiobook in the series. I enjoyed this narration as it provided an intriguing listen for any given moment.

Review:
Right from the start, Moonshine hooked me with its noir-esque atmosphere and Sam’s snarky internal monologue. The world-building is rich but not overwhelming, and the mix of supernatural and detective elements hits just right. Sam is the type of heroine you root for: imperfect, funny, and endlessly resourceful.

There’s a scene that I really enjoyed, where Sam has to attend a vampire court hearing, and it’s full of tension, biting humour, and political maneuvering.

Ash Aarrestad was great with her narration! Her narration captures Sam's biting sarcasm and vulnerability while giving distinct voices to the rest of the cast.

Would I Recommend It?
Absolutely! Whether you’re a fan of urban fantasy, detective stories, or just love a strong female lead who’s as sarcastic as she is skilled, Moonshine delivers. It's a great follow-up to Bloodstone, but you can totally jump in with this one without missing a beat.

Fun and Sassy

This audiobook is another delightful addition to The Samantha Nightshade Series by Cheri Myst. The story itself is fun with the snarky and sassy antics of the lead detective. The narration by Ash Aarrestad is icing on this literary cake! She does a great job of bringing this crime mystery to life! Can't wait for the next installment.

Solving crimes by night

This is book 2 of The Samantha Nightshade Series and a standalone story. I loved this story. Samantha Nightshade character is a sarcastic snarky new vampire. She is my hero. She can solve crimes and look good at the same time. I cannot wait to read the next in the series.

Moonshine is the sequel to Bloodstone and a standalone story. This is another gripping short story of Detective Samantha Nightshade and I absolutely loved her! I look forward to more in this series! Ash Aarrestad did a wonderful job of narrating this story.

this is an amazing book
I have read the whole series in ebook and now listened to in audio books.it is terrific in any format
The narration is terrifit's great to be able to sit back and have the story. Read to you and to let your imagination drift into the story. If you love vampires, you're gonna just love Samantha. Nightshade, who is the main character? Of the story, her and her partner. I'm pretty sure there's a romance pruning between the two of them
I recommend reading from book 1 to book three in order.lookkng Forward to book 4 if there is one, this series is written by a very talented author thanks for the great read. Keep them coming.

I have reviewed this book before, but as an e-book and this is the audiobook form and it was even more incredible. You could just sit back and picture the story in your mind as it’s being read to you, as I said before the characters are amazing The world building is terrific And the storyline is. fantastic it is a definite page Turner even when it’s an audiobook you just don’t wanna stop it. You just wanna keep listening until you get to the end. I would consider it a must read and a must listen to book. I highly recommend that you start with book one and e-book and audio. I would definitely highly recommend this book and book one it’s written by a terrific author
