Molly

In 1972, Chris Flemming’s first love is music, from Blues and Soul to Rock and Roll but, when he answers an ad in a Lonely Hearts column of his weekly music paper, his outlook, as well as his career, is irrevocably altered. He falls head over heels for Molly; a headstrong young lady from a Shropshire town, and they plan to marry. Those plans are scuppered, and love’s young dream becomes a nightmare when she meets an older man during a family holiday to Tenby. Chris is dumped, and his world collapses. Love turns to burning rage and hatred, fuelled by alcoholism and depression. Forty-six years later, a work colleague forces him to revisit the past, reopen old wounds, and reassess the circumstances surrounding the split. Unanswered questions, hitherto ignored, now gnaw at him constantly, and he is driven to find the truth, no matter what the cost.
