It was not a “natural” death for their parents . . . but was it supernatural?

Five star all the way

An electrifying book beautifully performed! I was captivated from the opening words. Terrifying and heartbreaking and yet I was so happy at the affirming ending.

Solid good, but not great

I like that it was a unique story but the narrator’s main character voice didn’t work well for me. It was fine but I think I would’ve enjoyed this more if I read vs listened to it

I’m in awe. The author and performer both did an absolutely amazing job. This book will stay with me for a very long time.

love the story but not performance

stopped listening with 5 hrs left to go & bought the ebook to finish that way instead. maybe if i were curled up under a blanket with absolutely nothing else going on (ok maybe a thunderstorm) then i wouldn't have had such a hard time following the narrator when they dramatically slowed down or murmured etc. as it was, i got tired of continually having to go back and relisten or adjust the volume instead of getting lost in the story. the story was phenomenal. love this author.

although this book had a unique story line I couldn't stay glued but I will definitely give it another read because I did enjoy this book put together well

Enjoyed every moment!

Loved the mystery and the surprise twists. Also, the sibling relationships were so well written. Birth order matters. And it doesn’t. If you have siblings, there’s something to learn about the different ways we perceive our growing up years. I love how this author keeps it real while telling a good story.

Wandering around my house in a daze

A beautiful, terrible, horrifying, gorgeous book. I can’t recommend it enough. The narrator was fantastic.

It was horror but not what I thought

I really enjoyed this book. It was a slow burn. Had me guessing wrong until the end. The topics are so real. Please read this book!

Deep and dark

What makes a haunted house? Is it the ghosts or the memories of living there that haunt us? These are questions Ezra and their sisters struggle with in Model Home.
I loved the writing style of this book. It’s got unreliable narrators, flash backs, and poetic moments. It also pulled hard on my heart strings in almost every chapter.
Please be warned: there are a lot of tough themes and content expressed in this story, so please come into it as an informed reader if you need.

They eat every time

They are amazing at writing books at hold a grip to you. I Love how Rivers Solomon brings history to their stories
