I have titled the seventeenth compilation for Crypto Hipster's Chronicles, Episode 17, "Addressing Compliance and Global Regulatory Standards", and that episode I have now converted into this book.

The crypto industry is still, after Bitcoin first arrived on the scene in 2009, fraught with uncontrolled risks. From Bitcoin's early days of Mt. Gox, to Bitconnect in 2017-18, to the centralized finance implosion and FTX in 2022, plenty of risks still abound. Plenty. We need to start discussions of what creating compliant global platforms and regulatory rules look like when players across the globe transact with one another. This book is just a small part of these necessary greater discussions. At least, the four interviews contained within this book can serve as a jumping on point into future collaborative conversations. We must make crypto a secure environment for global investors. This installment in Crypto Hipster's Chronicles book series is intended to be a starting point.

This eighteenth book in the Crypto Hipster series, entitled Mitigating Crypto Control Risks, draws upon four Crypto Hipster podcasts. Malcolm Wright, Chief Compliance Officer at 100X Group and Chairperson of Advisory Council and AML Working Group at Global Digital Finance, requests feedback and participation in a call for input toward best practices for Anti-Money laundering and Know Your Customer initiatives. William Je, Chief Executive Officer at Hamilton Investment Management, discusses the challenges and opportunities with creating a global regulatory framework. Raymond Hsu, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer for Cabital, shares the challenges with building a global compliant crypto platform. And Philipp Pieper, co-founder of Swarm Markets and the Swarm Network, shares his vision for mitigating crypto control risks so that decentralized applications can be used broadly and securely by all.
